| April 8th 2005: Hey folks! Been a while huh? Well, we have some news that I hope all will be happy to hear. First off, we are making good progress on album 2, which if you were a fly on the wall in our studio, you would know is a great accomplishment! And secondly... We have anothe show lined up in May. May 6th we are playing with Bella Luna and N/A (yes, the name is "non-applicable"). Hog Head Mc Dunna's on Fullerton in Chicago is the place. More info in the Events section! Plus I would like to give a shout out to all who did make the Dark Gathering show on January 29th. Despite circumstances, we played a great show and your support was, is and will always be appreciated! Thanks. :)
Till Next Time... |

Although it got on an odd foot I think everything went well. Thanks also goes out to the Chicago Gothic Council, perhaps we will meet again soon. NEWS FLASH!!! We have another show coming up! The date is the 29th of January and the event is Dark Gathering. We are playing with the FUZZY BUNNIES OF DEATH... FUZZY BUNNIES OF DEATH!!!!! What a cool name! It is an all ages show so anyone who can get to downtown Chicago should attend. More details will be in events section soon. | |
| January 4th 2005: Hi everyone (or at least those of you who are here at the moment) and happy new year. We at Dalet-Yod hope everyone had a wonderful winter solstice related holiday. I know we all did. I have news for all. If you have not noticed, there is an actual event in the "events" section! We are playing an acoustic show for the Chicago Gothic Council. It is on January 11th and it is at Neo Nightclub (2350 N. Clark). You can find further details in the events section. | |
| October 11th 2004:
Greetings once more. I know, info and events have been very slow coming. Everyone has been busy busy busy. Dave has been doing bass work for a Russian hip-hop group Deuce Fam. I have been painting again (about f*%king time). Kaosfield studios now has it's own domain, www.kaosfieldstudios.com. It is currently under construction and currently just focuses in my paintings.
MISKA IS GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I know I am excited, are you?) But enough shameless personal plugs for Miska, Dave and Steve. We are hoping to be landing an all ages show in the next few months on the Southside, details will follow. |

| August 28th 2004:
Steve here everybody, I figured it was about time I made another entry for those who actually come and visit. Hi there to those who keep coming back! I apologize for delays in pretty much everything. We have all been busy with multiple things. I guess you could say that life is catching up with us all. This past weekend was the Chicago Comicon (aka Wizard World) which I had a blast at. Adn considering I have been a painter much longer than a musician, I am right at home with all the freaks. I ran into some old friends whom I have not seen in years and also ran in Jasmine from Urn. It was all good I must say.
But in other news we have been working in the studio. And although the time itself seems not very long, we have been more productive than usual. We have recorded a new track called "Release". It is a fast, guitar driven piece that everybody will hopefully enjoy. I know we do. Till we meet again... |

| May 2nd 2004:
Progess, progress, progress. We had a rather sparse reheasral this afternoon, so we decided to get down to basics and remix "Mystery" (a track for the new album) from scratch. It came to our attention that we were basically getting ahead of ourselves. The mix was getting jumbled and was getting too muddy. It seems that we were able to make some real progress and get it much more lean and refined. No longer are instruments fighting for each other. This is a good thing.
But till next time... |

| March 7th 2004:
Well ladies and gentleman... I guess it should be officially stated that DALET-YOD is still together! This rumor was brought to our attention the other night at a show we played with Soulscape and URN. I guess only playing 1 show a year and hardly adding updates to a site will do that to ya. But rest assured we are still working and actually tracking and mixing our second album. We are taking our time and doing it by ourselves, which means we learned the lessons from our first album.
On a side note we have been doing the unthinkable... We have been working with an actual drummer. I know you are thinking "you must be kidding!". But we are and it is working out very well. His name is Dave Korsak and he is helping bring some new sounds that hopefully will be on the new CD as well as live. But till next time... |
